Central Intermediate Unit 10
Chemical: Digital Thermometer (MWEE)
Monitor the temperature of your habitat, aquarium, or terrarium with this easy-to-use digital thermometer. It accurately reads temperatures in Fahrenheit (–10 to 140° F) or Celsius (–23 to 60° C). Also features a remote sensor probe that can be placed in habitat substrate, wrapped around terrarium decorations or branches, or taped to the side of the tank. The probe is also submersible in water. Uses one LR44 1.5-V battery (included). Note: LCD must remain dry.
There are four components of the MWEE Stream Study Kit: chemical, biological, climate/weather and soils. Each part has various equipment and testing devices designed to complement your classroom lessons. It would be wise to borrow related equipment and gather as much data as possible per site visit. For example, borrowing the chemical and biological components together would allow for an enhanced experience at a water-based site.
