PA STEELS Standards are based on the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS, 2013) and are intended for all learners. The NGSS Diversity and Equity Team shares real teaching scenarios vividly illustrating research- and standards-based classroom strategies to engage a variety of students. Chapters address how to design units with NGSS/STEELS in mind, applying an instructional rubric and using additional case studies.
